foundation of health


The past four weeks I have been self-experimenting with protein shakes.  Normally, I wouldn’t do such a thing.  However, a friend of mine gave me a left-over container and I was curious to know its effects.  I have always been amazed at those people that claim it helps them reduce weight or repair their muscles faster in their workout routine.

As I went deeper into this mystery, I tried a particular GNC brand of whey protein, a form of soy protein, and the “Rolls Royce” of protein shakes from Isagenix.  I did a little research online and I found that: whey contains all the essential amino acids your body needs.   That sounded real good.  So I was motivated to jump in.

At first, I wondered if the protein would give me any insight into how people lose weight with it.  Then I wanted to see if there was any connection to how breatharians achieve their goals.  After trying it for a few days, I went to the store to find out the various other brands.  As I held up each container some felt strong and powerful while others felt weaker.  I found two that felt particularly suited to me, one whey and the other soy.  This crude form of muscle-testing seemed to indicate that it would be a good choice.  I took no other supplement to keep them from interfering with discerning the proper results of this experiment.

Sadly, each of the three products failed.

From the vegetarian guide:

“The largest land animals in the world, elephants, are exclusively vegetarian.  They grow up to 10,000 pounds, by eating nothing but plant matter.  They couldn’t grow so big if plants weren’t loaded with protein.” — Michael Bluejay

Upon taking each product, at first I felt real good.  You feel that strong and a powerful effect and you think to yourself this is what I have been missing.  I need this every day.  In short, you get hooked.

However, after a while the strength fades and turns into muscle weakness.  With the first product, on three different occasions I felt a serious weakness upon waking up each morning.  I continued taking the product and eventually upped the dose from 25 to 60 grams of protein each day.  As I continued taking it, I felt pain in my back, an acidic stomach and feeling cold.  This feeling of cold got worse which lead to going under the covers and being depressed for a while.  After I stopped the product, in as short as a day, I coughed up some sputum and immediately felt terrific as the toxins released out of my body that way.

The next day, I tried again with the same protein shake.  I wanted to see if it was just in my mind or would I get the same results.  Each time I would feel cold, depressed and back pain.  Then I moved onto the other two protein shakes.  All in all, I discovered it was a dead end.  What typically happens when taking a new supplement, vitamin, or even a B12 injection is that you first feel great.  You feel wonderful and terrific inside.  You feel strong.  You literally become high.

Sadly, the laws of life tend to seek balance.  If it is your wish to experience strength you will have to accept weakness too.  To experience just one side of the spectrum guarantees you will feel its opposite at some point.

Notice:

  1. Primary feeling:  strength, increased energy, high
  2. Secondary feeling:  weakness, acidic stomach, back pain, coldness, depression

It’s never easy to see the long-term, detrimental effects of a supplement.  I don’t believe many people will ever put these things together because there are so many factors to weed through in our busy lives.  As these secondary feelings come about, it is quite difficult to figure out its cause and for some it is just below the threshold of our ordinary awareness.  For the most part, we are not taught to look for these types of side-effects.  Unfortunately, I believe many retail sellers are counting on that.

Holistic View:

Here is what the Master Herbalist has to say about vitamins:

“THROW ALL YOUR COMMERCIAL VITAMINS IN THE TRASH OR ON THE SOIL, THEY ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.” — MH

Further, this is quite shocking to hear this Letter from Dr. Schulze:

“Many so called natural vitamins are made from horrible substances.  All the vitamin B-12, cyanocobalamin, on the market is made from either ground up toxic cow livers or activated sewage sludge.  These cow livers are overloaded with steroids and antibiotics, and the pesticides the cow assimilates while eating.  The sewage sludge is just that, fecal matter.  — Dr. Richard Schulze

Is this true? 

What a frightening thing to hear.  So, I went online to research this further and found no one else saying the same thing.  Then I went on to Wikipedia and searched Ascorbic Acid:

“Eighty percent of the world’s supply of ascorbic acid is produced in China.”

What is the industrial preparation for this vitamin?

“A more biotechnological process, first developed in China in the 1960s but further developed in the 1990s, bypasses the use of acetone protecting groups.  A second genetically-modified microbe species (such as mutant Erwinia, among others) oxidises sorbose…”

What is Erwinia?

Erwinia is a genus of Enterobacteriaceae bacteria containing mostly plant pathogenic species which was named for the first phytobacteriologist, Erwin Frink Smith.  It is a gram negative bacterium related to Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella and Yersinia.

Whether you believe Dr. Schultz or not becomes moot at this point.  Now we can understand more clearly that the source of ascorbic acid is indeed of pathogenic origin.  In short, it literally is a poison.

Then, how do we get the essential vitamins we need?

“YOUR SKIN MAKES VITAMINS FROM SUNLIGHT EXPOSURE.” — MH

It is quite simple if you read, research and understand correctly.  You will find good tips to follow when you abide by Nature.

SOLUTION FOR THE BODY:

The key to mastering the body and acquiring proper physical health is not something the average person will ever discover. 

Why is this? 

Because the real and long-lasting solution is in the absence of something.  Since this is an abstract concept it is quite invisible to the ordinary person.  A solution that has long-term benefits and lasting results is almost never found in the presence of a synthetic pill or drug.  That is why so many miss out on discovering the truth and all the cognitions that come about from natural health and perfect balance.

To obtain good health, it is like peeling away the layers of an onion.

The principle of absence is seen in distilled water and fasting.  Fasting is a universal method that spiritual men and women have used in basically all religions.  Whether we think of Christ, Ghandi or Yeshe Tsogyal…these spiritual leaders fasted for a reason.  Once the body was purified of its unnatural impulses; it returned to a more normal functioning.  Only then was it much easier to focus on purifying the mind.

Two perfect ways to remove impurities from the body that Obeys Nature:

  1. Water:  distilled water removes all inorganic minerals
  2. Fasting:  naturally removes the most difficult poisons

SOLUTION FOR THE MIND:

This principle of absence is not only found in the body.  To obtain an enlightened mind there must be a sense of purification where something is discarded and certainly NOT added to.  As it states in the Shurangama sutra:

“Ananda, what is meant by the upside-down state of living beings?  Ananda, the reason that the nature of the mind is bright is that the nature itself is the perfection of brightness.  By adding brightness, another nature arises, and from that false nature, views are produced, so that from absolute nothingness comes ultimate existence.” — Shakyamuni Buddha

BASIS FOR HEALTH:

So if you are seeking a real and authentic health, rather than adding a synthetic pill or vitamin chemical to your body, you must first obtain a foundation of health.  To create this basis for health you need to be more scientific in your process.  In science they have what is called a control group.  The control is the standard against which the researcher compares the results from each treatment group in the experiment.

Since, it is highly unlikely that anyone is going to do proper research for the benefit of society on a mass scale you have to be an independent researcher.  And that means pitch all your vitamins and pills and get back to basics.  When you do this, it becomes the control where you can discern more accurately a healthy body.  If you do the safer OJ Fast for 3, 7 or 14 days you have a chance to discover the truth for your own body and what its actual needs are.

Just as dirty water in a glass will settle down and become clear on its own.  In the same way, if you interfere less, this will give you a foundation for health you have been seeking all along.

After an extended fast, then you can add good or bad foods and supplements to your diet and get a correct feeling of what is good and healthy for your body and what is not.

Last point:

Balance is the law of life.  After taking the supplement, right away I was feeling strong.  After some time, I felt weak and unable to sit up properly to type on the computer or sit in meditation practice.  Even so, I understand that most people may not be sensitive enough to agree.  And that is fine.  MH relates the irony of all this in one perfect anecdote:

“Tell a child that a person is very sick because they are toxic, then tell this child that this person must go to the hospital, not to receive fresh fruits, but toxic drug therapy………the child will be puzzled, because it makes no sense to believe that a person is sick because of poison and that giving more poison would be the cure.”  — MH

At the very least, just keep this information in the back of your mind the next time you take supplements.  Notice the primary and secondary feelings while you are on it.  The primary feelings are usually wonderful.  And that is what makes a product become a hot item.  It sells.  Then notice what happens after a week or a month’s time.

Eating for rejuvenation


For most people, being on a spiritual path brings with it the principles of vegetarian living.  I too wanted to uphold the precepts of not eating meat to obtain all the benefits that spirituality had to offer.  While it is certainly much easier to enter meditative states by abstaining from eating meat, it is not so easy to obtain perfect physical health through this alone.

When you move from a poor diet to a healthy diet, it doesn’t mean that you will automatically experience the effects of complete rejuvenation.  Only when you know the exact laws of hygiene does this become possible.  Therefore, you need to gather the right information and then make the choices that work for you.

“The greatest of all diet reforms is the change from meat-eating to a meatless diet. This is also the first step on the spiritual path, the first gesture that rightness, justice, compassion, purity are being set up as necessary to human and humane living, in contrast to animal living.” — Paul Brunton

Figuring out a game-plan to get back to health involves a commitment that is based on the PRINCIPLES of revering and honoring life.  Even though we never know when we are going to pass away, at least we can enjoy a quality of life that most others would never know.

“So it is, Manjushri. There is not a single being, wandering in the chain of lives in endless and beginningless samsara, that has not been your mother or your sister. An individual, born as a dog, may afterward become your father.  Each and every being is like an actor playing on the stage of life. One’s flesh and the flesh of others is the same flesh. Therefore the Enlightened Ones eat no meat. Moreover, Mahjushri, the dharmadhatu  is the common nature of all beings, therefore Buddhas refrain from eating meat.”  — Angulimala Sutra

The ideal:

For healing, rejuvenation, and regeneration to occur physically being on a completely raw-food diet is essential for optimal health to take place.  It does take time to get to this level of purity.  It also takes a certain willingness to get educated properly in order to have confidence that this process works.  Nonetheless, whenever you create the right conditions in your body, healing will eventually come about.

Abiding with nature is the slow and steady way to become whole.

In order to create the right conditions for healing to occur it would be wise to complete a liver-cleanse and then an extended OJ fast.  Once you accomplish these pre-requisites, then you can choose to continue eating well, modify your diet, or go completely back to your old ways.  It is entirely up to you.

You never want to become obsessed or extreme about this.  You just want to give your body some time so that it has the chance to recuperate, balance and regenerate itself.

It may be that you are ready to take the next step and eat even healthier than before.  It is important to note that you don’t have to worry that you will be eating this way forever.  You could simply set a time limit for how long you want to cleanse and purify this way.

Here are two alternative diet-plans that create the precise conditions to maintain a healthy body:

Food combining:

While you are in the transition from an ovo-lacto vegetarian to a raw food diet it is best to learn the Food Combining Protocols outlined by Dr. Hay.  If you cannot become a complete Raw Foodist right away, that is OK.  No problem.  At the very minimum, you can have one cooked meal per day.  Over time you can become stricter.

The reason to follow these food-combining rules is because you want your body to run more efficiently and not accumulate acids in your body.  This path is one of making better choices with awareness of what is correct or incorrect for your body.

For example, right food combining means you would NOT mix proteins and carbohydrates.  Eating pizza would be a wrong food combination because the cheese is protein and the bread is a carb.  If you eat the wrong combination then acidosis sets in and invariably disease is not far behind.

Mono-diet:

The mono-diet is something you can adopt to refine your system more precisely than food-combining does.  The mono-diet says to eat only one food at a time.  This is a more perfected method to assure you are not making any mistakes and accumulating acids.  It is a simple process.  If you desire grapes then you keep eating all the grapes you want until you are full.

As a general rule, ten minutes later your stomach should be empty of fruit.  Then you could pick another food.  Maybe you wanted almonds next.  You would eat all the almonds your body desires until you weren’t hungry anymore.  It may take your system about 45 minutes or more to digest these nuts.

This is how you will come to know your body in exact detail.  Just be mindful and see how your body handles each particular food.  In all cases, try to get into the habit of chewing all your food into a liquid.  Your stomach is not a grinder.  It needs all the help it gets from the enzymes in your salivary glands.

WARNING: the following information is for informational purposes and no one can encourage you to move in this direction unless you are willing to self-experiment and have guidance/permission from your doctor, lama, healer or guru.

It has been said that grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet that obeys nature in the correct way.   But, how many really know that breads are poor choices for food?  The way breads are made today may actually cause more harm than good.  For example, the ingredient in white bread utilizes the same paste to put up your wallpaper in your home.  Not good at all.

“I have to agree with the old medical books, bread is the staff of death, but if a person could chew it to a liquid, it would do much less harm.” –MH

Furthermore, it may be surprising to hear what the Master Herbalist has to say about vegetables.  How many people know that most vegetables are not proper human foods?

“Vegetables are not natural, they grow too quickly. BUGS love vegetables, because nature wants them destroyed. Humans need very small minerals that fruits from the tree possess. Minerals in the fast growing vegetables are too BIG and are known to get in the blood stream and can’t get out the kidneys, so they stick to the veins and clog our circulation over time.” –MH

It may sound strange and even shocking to hear that.  The good news is, when we are healthy and our VITALITY and LIFE-FORCE is STRONG we can pretty much eat anything and everything.  But, when we are sick and debilitated and have a so-called incurable disease we need to take every precaution to get back to health.

Three signs:

Some signs to look for while cleansing and eating healthy and taking herbal supplements:

  1. the skin becomes clearer
  2. the hair grows in thicker and darker
  3. the teeth become whiter

This is very important to understand.  While experiencing the qualities of rejuvenation, the nails will begin to feel stronger and take on a clear sheen to them and will not look cloudy.  The hair will become thicker and appear wet, as if filled with life-force, and not dry or falling out.  And lastly, the teeth will become much whiter and not look sickly yellow.

TIPS:

With the above information you have a tool to gauge where you are at.  Even so, one needs to study extensively these PROTOCOLS of abiding with nature.  MH acquired lead-poisoning from the factory he worked at, and only got his health back after following Nature’s laws.

Likewise, Dr. William Howard Hay had renal disease or kidney failure.  In the old days, it was called Bright’s disease and now the term is chronic nephritis.  Both these men achieved rejuvenation by following Nature and went on to document their results for the benefit of all.

Discovering the truth certainly comes from self-applied prevention.  I advise anyone to start reading MH’s 108 Pages booklet and the Dr. Hay book, Health via Food to get started.

The sky is falling


As most of you know on March 11, 2011 Japan had an unprecedented earthquake that registered 9.0 on the Richter scale and the subsequent tsunami that hit Tohoku, Japan was devastating.

At least three nuclear reactors exploded due to hydrogen gas that had built up within their outer containment buildings.

Taking Iodine supplements is the first thing that everyone thinks of when there is radiation poisoning. It has been said that the side effects of taking a chemical based iodine is shrinking of the testes in men. If this is the case, then we can infer that women would have damage to their ovaries as well.  Not many know there is a Natural Tree Based Iodine that is free from these harmful side-effects.

MH, the Barefoot Herbalist, just created a new formula called “The Sky is Falling” for the purpose of reducing the levels of radiation poisoning.  MH says:

“IF ocean plant Iodine is GREAT FOR US and I think we can all agree the history says it is, then my Theory is TREE IODINE is first hand Iodine and should obey nature better than eating second hand Iodine. The key word being ‘TREE’, it agrees with the Bible or ancient writers of our past.”

In his formula, some of the top herbs to remove radiation poisoning are Tree Iodine minerals, American Ginseng and Cilantro. As I investigate alternative healing, it is very rare to find such a person as MH who creates all natural products with no fillers in his herbal supplements and sprays.  If you seek to OBEY NATURE you can rest assure that nature will always guide you towards the truth. If you indiscriminately obey man sooner or later you will discover the hidden agenda is based on selfishness, solely for the making of profit.

MH suggests that the first year in Japan will be the hardest as their bodies absorbs these toxins through the air they breathe, the foods they eat and the water they drink.  He goes on to say that it may well be 40 years before a full recovery of their eco-system will come about.

In reality, since the winds will blow this radiation all around the earth in large or small quantities depending on how far away you are; we all need to pay attention to this issue.

The suggested dose:

SUGGESTED DOSE: 1 DROPPER DAILY OR MORE AS DESIRED.
WEST COAST: 1 DROPPER MORNING AND NIGHT FOR LIFE.

One cure, cures all


MH, the master herbalist, at the Ask Barefoot Herbalist forum, often repeats the phrase that “one cure, cures all” regarding illness.  This means the root cause of disease can be eliminated by abiding by the Laws of Nature rather than going against it.

And God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” — Genesis 1:29

If you seek to “obey nature” you can rest assure that nature will always guide you towards the truth.  If you obey man, more often than not, you will discover their agenda doesn’t always have your best interest at heart as they profit at your expense.

The problem we have in discovering the truth to health is: western medicine will help you manage the just the symptoms and achieve only a temporary result.  On the other extreme, with naturopathic care you end up moving from one fad to the next because it is popular or seems appealing.  The problem with following the hype is, you end up wasting thousands of dollars on each and every method without seeing any long-term benefit.

As you come to follow the middle path, between western medicine and naturopathic remedies, you can begin to achieve results once you KNOW the protocols for health.  When you experience real health for the first time it becomes your solid foundation for life and you can NEVER be fooled again by any scam artist.  No doubt the majority of people will be critical towards you.  Nonetheless, no one can change your mind once you have known the truth.  Let them have their opinion.  These simple truths are self-evident.

Achieving results on the OJ fast are as follows:

  • 14 days gives you 5X more new red blood cells
  • 21 days will repair and regenerate all new organs
  • 40 days allows the skin to expel their hidden acids

FOUR STEPS: to authentic health

If you are going to be on a health program you should know the proper steps involved.  The first step is doing three liver flushes before you attempt the OJ fast.  This is done in two or three week increments.  Dr. Hulda Clark’s liver flush has been workable and seen to get repeated results.  She has been known to sell her brand of dewormer but MH’s dewormer is cheaper and superior on so many levels.  The protocol is to take the Dewormer every day for seven days.  Then on the last day you are ready to perform the liver flush.  Remember to lie on your left side and not your right as it is much gentler on your body and the flow of gallstones will improve.  If you fail to deworm for the full seven days prior to the liver flush you will NOT get results of removing any gallstones.  The recipe can be found here:  Liver Cleanse

One important tip while working with Dr. Clark’s Liver flush recipe is add lots and lots of extra honey to make the awful taste of epsom salts and grapefruit juice more palatable.

The second step one must do is purchase a good water-distiller.  Most are fairly cheap and run in the $100 – $150 dollar range.  This is so important for chelation purposes and shouldn’t be avoided because good water is needed on daily basis.  Having fresh water without it being tainted by chemicals or metals is of primary importance.  The negative criticism about drinking distilled water can be summed up that it leaches out minerals from the body and therefore we should avoid using it.  This is a myth and simply not true.  Only non-organic minerals are removed from your system which is what you want for good health to be restored.

The third step is to become thoroughly educated and research more and more until you actually gain some confidence to achieve health, wholeness and well-being.  The best place to start is reading MH’s 108 page book and Dr. William Howard Hay’s book Health via Food.  Back in the 1930s, Dr. Hay was a western doctor who became sick with dropsy.  It was an incurable condition at the time and he had no way out other than to do as he often advised his patients to ‘write out his will’.  Nonetheless, he was intelligent and resourceful enough to discover what the ancient monks would always resort to when ill – and that was fasting.  He tested everything out scientifically and afterwards developed the 14 day OJ fast protocol.  Later, he quit his ordinary job and set up a seminary where he was able to cure 60,000 cases over the course of his life.

The last step is, once you are fully confident, decide on doing either a 7, 14, or 21 day OJ fast.  Get ready to squeeze 8 oranges a day for the duration.  You are advised to eat 20 almonds a day so that your muscles don’t atrophy like Ghandi.  With the almonds in your system, you are given enough protein to repair your muscles.  At the very least, one is not bed-ridden and most everyone can continue with ordinary tasks and keep up their current work schedule.  Some went as far as including a weight lifting program or exercise routine.

MH would go on to tell us that there is a timeline when you can expect to see specific results:

  • 14 days will create NEW BLOOD
  • 21 days will give you a brand NEW HEART
  • 35 days will regenerate NEW SKIN
  • 40 days will rebuild you a NEW LIVER

On this type of fast you can drink all the distilled water that your body may need.  You can even add other liquids such as honey, maple syrup, and molasses to gain the necessary minerals your body needs to sustain and repair your body throughout the fast.

I find if your muscles become fatigued a tablespoon of honey will give you the strength you need.  If you are craving pizza then take a tablespoon of olive oil and that will do the trick.  If you begin craving chocolate then some spirulina or wheat grass will give you the b-vitamins to satisfy you until you come back into balance.

The Dr. Hay Rule while fasting is to have one bowel movement per day which is absolutely necessary or else toxemia will set in.

IMPORTANT: You need to decide on the daily enema or the herbal formula known as the LBB (lower bowel balance) to successfully complete any type of fast.  Either one will assist your body to move the toxins DOWN and OUT the toilet.

After the completion of an extended OJ fast you will be able to discern the BASIS of health that is right for you.  Now, whenever you are sick you can rely on a 3-day OJ fast and allow your body to remove the toxins the proper way – down and out your body.
